Obscene executive pay-offs are running this country down - Express.co.uk

Mr Patrick Loughrey left his comfy billet at the Beeb with a platinum handshake of £866,000, which included a £266,288 pension "augmentation," and immediately strolled into a £200,000 a year sinecure as warden of Goldsmiths University.

What contribution to the life of our country could Mr Loughrey possibly have made that entitles him to such munificence? And he is only one of scores of public sector managers walking away with fortunes.

Will this madness ever end? Not a chance.
