BEIRUT: Drugs concealed in a package bound for an Arab country have been confiscated and the sender arrested in east Lebanon, the Lebanese Army said Wednesday. In a statement, the Army said the "suspicious" box contained two metal discs used by cranes. About 20 kg of narcotic pills were found in the discs that were sent via an express shipping service, the statement added. It said the Army lured the sender – identified as Syrian Bassel Jaafar Zaitoun – who was arrested Tuesday in Chtaura, east Lebanon.
