A Greenvale doctor faces forgery and drug-possession charges after Nassau County police said they found him in a parked car Monday with prescription drugs falsely made in his name and prescription drugs made out to other people.
Police allege Dr. Edmond Hakimi, 32, was in possession of Xanax and alprazolam plus other pills, including clonazepam, and marijuana when they found him about 10:15 p.m. in a 2013 Jeep parked in a rear lot at 560 Northern Blvd., Great Neck.
Hakimi, of 39 Wellington Rd., also had two Suboxone film strips and five blank prescription sheets, police said.

Subsequent investigation uncovered a container of 144 pills believed to be alprazolam, 27 pink pills believed to be an amphetamine and a white, powdery substance believed to be Cialis, police said.
Police arrested and charged Hakimi with three counts of second-degree forgery and seven counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance.
The forgery charge is because some of the prescriptions were made out to him falsely, police said, and other prescriptions were in the name of other people.
After arraignment Tuesday, Hakimi was released after posting $1,000 bail.
Hakimi was licensed to practice in New York on March 4, according to a state-operated website that profiles physicians.
A web search shows he has an office in Southampton.
