Alyssa Milano is the latest celebrity to fall victim to a leaked sex tape... or so she'd have you believe.
'My sex tape was leaked. Not sure what to say. Going to post the link myself to try to control the situation,' she tweeted to her more than 2.5 million fans on Wednesday.
In a skit recorded for website Funny Or Die, the Mistresses star found a very clever way of drawing attention to the escalating violence in the Middle East.

Sprung! Alyssa Milano has pretended that she shot a 'sex tape', which went viral on Wednesday - but it turns out it's just a Funny Or Die skit
Capitalising on her curves, the 40-year-old drew viewers in with plenty of cleavage in a pink push-up bra and purple lace camisole, which she pairs with green silk pyjama shorts.
Supposedly cavorting with a good-looking robe-wearing man in a hotel room while 'vacationing' in Cabo, Mexico, the mom-of-one sets up the video camera to capture some sordid action.
But a stiletto-clad foot derails the plan to film the intimate encounter, with the camera spinning round to focus on the news being broadcast on the wall-mounted television.

Using her assets: The two minute 15 second clip features plenty of close-up cleavage shots of the Mistresses star, who dons a pink bra, purple lace camisole and green silk shorts alongside her robe-wearing partner

Very realistic: Fans may have easily been fooled by the video - up until the moment the news broadcast interrupts the action
A monotone newscaster then goes into great detail about the current - and very real - situation in Syria as the couple are partially seen off to one side in a mirror, having fun under the sheets.
As the frisky twosome giggle and groan while frolicking on the red rose petal-strewn bed, the reporter continues to dominate the video with his sobering spiel.
As the pair's encounter comes to an end, Alyssa is heard telling her lover to change the channel.

Who's the man? In real life, Alyssa is a happily-married mom-of-one, but in the clip, she's cavorting with a near-naked hunk

Is this thing on? The 40-year-old proved she has a good sense of humour with the stunt, tweeting to her 2.5 million fans that the personal video was 'leaked' by accident
'This is boring, change it to Swamp People,' she says, referring to the lowbrow History Channel series.
The active UNICEF ambassador has been regularly tweeting about the trouble in Syria and promoting awareness and aid for the innocent victims through the hashtag Children Of Syria.
While it's certainly a unique and risqu way to go about drumming up support, it's nice to see the star isn't afraid to poke fun at herself for a good cause.

Getting her message across: Just as the couple gets going, the camera is kicked around and focuses on the news, in which a monotone news reader is reporting on the very real escalating violence in Syria - a topic close to the star's heart

'This is boring, change it to Swamp People': The actress tells her lover to change the channel to the History Channel's lowbrow reality series
I'm suspicious of this, as it comes out right as an overwhelming majority of U.S. citizens show disapproval. Hollywood is largely on Obama's side, and it does not shock me that they would attempt to entice Americans into backing the President. Yes, it is important to be informed. But everything that is one-sided is questionable. Motives are questionable...why just Syria? There is injustice like this in other parts of the world. At this particular time, enough is enough.
