YET again the Premier League clubs have been busy signing new players on huge wages this summer as they are further awash with cash from a massive TV deal.
I understand that the club finishing bottom of the top-flight will receive at least £60-million.

NEW ARRIVAL: Mesut Ozil, who joined Arsenal for £42.4m this month.
In my view, that is obscene, especially as virtually every penny will go into the pockets of players and agents.
Yes, the top players deserve to be well rewarded, but when some are being offered in excess of £200,000 per week, then surely something is wrong?

The owners, players and maybe supporters of the top clubs expect the gravy train to run and run. I have by doubts.
When you have clubs fielding teams made up entirely of foreign nationals surely it becomes difficult for supporters to have a relationship with their club?
While the clubs are receiving unbelievable levels of income from TV, they are also showing a high level of greed by asking astronomical prices for tickets.
I heard recently that Arsenal are charging £126 for some seats at the Emirates!
Those sort of prices serve to ensure that youngsters won't be able to go and see their team play live. It will be the reserve of the rich or the tourist.
Rather than the new TV money leaving the game and eventually the country, why isn't it written in that a percentage has to be passed down the leagues to make for a more competitive structure?
Why isn't some of the money passed down for Youth development, to try and ensure that in the future a much greater percentage of players originate from the UK?
If the above has made you think, maybe you agree, then perhaps you will realise how important a local professional football club is to this area?
The Mariners Trust are committed to trying to ensure the long term sustainability of the football club but needs more help.
