Radio station Zifm's radio presenter (TinTin) Tinopona Katsande who at the weekend triggered controversy after her sex video became national news, was Friday afternoon hauled before an employment hearing which may determine her fate.
While driving to work, Tinopona told ZimEye she would be questioned on the scandal that took the internet by storm on Sunday night.
"I am about to go to work for a hearing to see if I have a job or not," she said.
Tinpona was still stuck in the disciplinary hearing at the time of writing.
Meanwhile TinTin earlier in the week told ZimEye of her ordeal saying the reported video was delivered in a brown envelop written "this celebrity this year we are going to make money on her"
Below was part of the interview:
Question:Have you threatened or told these people you were going to sue them for publishing your images.?
Tino:What is a threat? A threat will not help us.What you need to know is that a year ago,on 20th October my phone was stolen at Marasha (sic..)I made a report at the police which clearly states that my phone was stolen with some private information.The following day I came to work,,I was very concerned about my phone and my boss said relax and if something comes up you will handle it.
Then a year later, that's yesterday I got a call from HM Metro,saying they have my images,but I had totally forgotten about my phone.,then I remembered the phone thing.The person described me as having a cut on my body and then I knew they had my images for sure.I said to them that was between me and my boyfriend.So I asked them that we meet and go to to the police station and check the records about my stolen phone.I also asked them to find out who stole my phone.They showed no interest at all.
Then I received another call from a private No.and it was from Metro again and I asked them to meet me because I want to protect my private life.I wanted them to tell me where they got my images, they said they can't tell me the source because of ..(sic..) but i told them if they publish my images they will be violating my privacy .
Then they told me that they have a big khaki envelope and inside there is a memory card and it was written ' Celebrity uyu, gore rino tichaita mari naye',"this year this celebrity we are going to make money on her". I told them to forget about all that but help me to recover this information and find the person who stole my phone because this is a crime and don't publish them and he said "Let me talk to my editor (sic )" then the phone went off. I spent the whole morning trying to phone,but no one picked the phone Now I knew they were going to publish my images and my main concern is that they are private and by so doing they will be violating my privacy. I told them I' m not going to apologise and even now I'm not apologising because that information from my phone was my private life..**********} My lawyer came through and talked about interdiction..(sic.)
Question:So you actually issued an interdict against them?
Tino: No, we didn't. I only talked to Metro telling them I want to protect my privacy (sic)
