Des Moines-area drug, prostitution arrests occur - Mason City Globe Gazette

DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) — More than 50 people have been arrested after a Des Moines-area investigation into drugs and sex for sale.

Polk County sheriff's Sgt. Jana Rooker told The Des Moines Register (http://dmreg.co/Ud6kOK ) that officers focused on drugs and human trafficking.

Authorities say the 53 arrests occurred Oct. 17-18 in several locations around Polk County and involved local, state and federal officers.
