An Asian man in his 50s reported another Asian to police in Ras Al Khaimah after finding that his telephone number was published on an adult page on Facebook.
The unnamed man complained that the defendant had caused him "psychological and social embarrassment" by publishing his contact number on that page.
A criminal court in the northern emirate hearing the case on Sunday sentenced the defendant to three months in jail and suspended the verdict for three years, according to the Arabic language daily Al Khaleej, which gave no other details.
