Two people killed by AMT train in Ste. Therese area - CJAD

An investigation has been launched into a horrific accident north of Montreal.

Two men died when they were hit by a commuter train in the Ste Therese area Friday afternoon.

The victims, in their 20's, were struck on the Blainville-St. Jerome train line, apparently near a tunnel that runs under highway 640.

The accident prompted delays and cancellations along the line.

There are reports it may have been a suicide pact.

No one on the train was injured.

There were apparently about 10 people on board.
