Five people killed in wreck on West Point Road - LaGrange Daily News

Five people were killed Friday night in a head-on wreck on West Point Road, southwest of LaGrange, at Old West Point Road, according to the Georgia State Patrol.

The GSP reported that at about 6:45 p.m., two passenger cars collided, killing the driver of the at-fault driver and four people in the other vehicle.

Two survivors were airlifted to hospitals in Columbus and Atlanta.

Troup County Coroner Jeff Cook confirmed that there are five fatalities. The identities of the victims have not been released, pending notification of next of kin.

GSP investigators are still working the scene of the wreck and West Point Road has just reopened.
