ROSELLE PARK Police charged Robert Espinal, 30, with possession of drugs, intent to distribute and possession of drugs in a school zone.
At approximately 9:30 a.m. on Dec. 28, Patrolman Nicholas Vaughan of the Roselle Park Police Department was on patrol when he observed an individual acting suspiciously near a vehicle parked on the 100 block of Sherman Avenue, police said.
Espinal, a Jersey City resident and employee of a nearby business, was allegedly found in possession of more than 30 prescription pills including Alprazolam and Buprenophine Hydrochloride, and two baggies containing heroin.
He was lodged in Union County Jail on $50,000 bail.
