Police conducting routine traffic stops in the Perth suburb of Seville Grove have seized chemicals they believe were destined for an illegal drug laboratory.
A utility stopped on Seville Drive last night was packed with gas bottles, chemicals and equipment used to make methamphetamine.
Police have taken a man, 34, into custody.
Officers from the Organised Crime Squad later searched his house and arrested his girlfriend when she arrived at the property.
It is alleged she was carrying drugs and a large amount of cash.
Investigations are continuing.
