ROCHELLE PARK A 20-year-old township resident was arrested Friday morning and charged with selling prescription drugs and marijuana, police said.
Police found more than 1,000 anti-anxiety pills, mostly Xanax, and one pound of marijuana when they arrested Anthony Garrone at his home on Oldis Street, Detective Jim Depreta of the Rochelle Park police said.
Garrone had purchased the pills from another person, whose identity remains unknown and who had stolen them from a drug distributor, Depreta said.
He was charged with possession of prescription drugs and marijuana with the intent to distribute near a school and receiving stolen property, all third-degree crimes, Depreta said. Garrone was released on his own recognizance, Depreta said.
