Willimantic police arrested a suspected drug dealer Thursday at his home and said they seized drugs valued at more than $2,000.
Danny Colon-Rodriguez, 37, of 9 W. Park St., was charged with possession of narcotics and possession of narcotics with intent to sell within 1,500 feet of a school.
Police said they saw what they thought were several drug transactions taking place in the building's rear driveway. Approaching Colon-Rodriguez on the stairs outside his apartment, police said he tried to run back into his apartment.
A search of Colon-Rodriguez found a large quantity of cash and a razor blade with white residue on it in his pocket, police said. Police said they found 18 grams of cocaine and 5 grams of heroin hidden in his bedroom.
Colon-Rodriguez was later released on a $25,000 bond, police said.
