Two arrested in OCSO synthetic drug buys - The Northwest Florida Daily News

FORT WALTON BEACH - Two men were arrested on Friday after the Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office discovered a store openly selling synthetic drugs, according to a press release.

Since spring break began, OCSO has made at least 84 purchases of controlled substances throughout the county, the news release reported.

A Florida Department of Law Enforcement analysis of items from Gina's 99 Cents Store on Eglin Parkway found they were illegal substances.

On Friday, deputies searched the store and arrested an employee, Luis Meza-Cruz, and Timothy Peters, who sold synthetic drugs to an undercover deputy.

Meza-Cruz, 20, of Fort Walton Beach, was charged with sale of a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a church. Peters, 43, of Gulf Breeze, was charged with sale of a controlled substance with intent to distribute.
