Twenty arrests made in Baldwin County drug investigation - al.com (blog)

During the investigation, officers seized clandestine methamphetamine labs, a half-ounce of crack cocaine, methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

Bay Minette Police Chief Michael Rowland said small law enforcement agencies are often criticized for not doing enough when it comes to drugs.

He said without the help of the task force as well as federal and state resources small agencies would not have the resources to address drug issues.

"This is the second time that we have done this in the last few months," Rowland said. "It has a tremendous impact, not only on the small communities in Baldwin County but also the entire county as a whole."
