The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating a collision on Highway 290 west which has killed at least three people.
DPS confirmed that three were killed and others hurt when two vehicles collided at 290 and Belterra Drive, about half way between Oak Hill and Dripping Springs.
It's not clear yet how many people were injured, but Austin-Travis County EMS sent a STAR Flight helicopter to transport two patients to University Medical Center Brackenridge hospital.
They were presumed to have life-threatening injuries.
It happened about 1:20 p.m. We have a crew on the way and will provide more information as it comes available.
