NEW DELHI: Two drug smugglers were arrested by the crime branch on Sunday and marijuana worth Rs 6 crore was found in their possession. The two were members of a gang which used to distribute marijauna to various dealers in the capital
The smugglers have been identified as Bhaskar (55) and T Kumar (25), residents of Tamil Nadu. The two other members of the gang, Nagraj and Prashant Kale, are absconding, police said.
"A truck was found with gunny bags. The upper layer of gunny bags was full of lemons and cattle feed, the lower layer contained marijuana weighing 1575 Kgs" said Ravindra Yadav, additional commissioner of police, crime branch.
