BEIRUT: Two people were killed Friday following a Lebanese Army chase in the eastern town of Baalbek, security sources told The Daily Star.
Soldiers were chasing three wanted individuals in the Tall al-Abyad area when the two parties began exchanging fire.
The trade of gunfire killed Abbas al-Masri and Abbas Ali Hajj, the sources, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said. The third person was able to escape, they added.
The raid is part of the Army's security plan to restore order in the eastern region of the Bekaa.
