Airdrie drugs raid: three arrested - BBC News

Three people have been arrested after cannabis with a street value of £230,000 was seized from a house in North Lanarkshire.

Police, acting under warrant, found the drug during a search of the property in Killearn Crescent, Plains, Airdrie, at about 17:40 on Wednesday.

Two men, aged 28 and 49, and a 46-year-old woman were arrested.

Det Ch Insp Pat Campbell said: "Yesterday's operation shows that we are keeping people safe.

"It sends a clear message to discourage people in becoming involved in organised crime.

"It also shows those who already are involved, that we will actively target them and ensure that there is no place for them to hide."
