Drugs with an estimated street value of £1.5m have been seized by Cleveland Police.
Officers stopped three men in Halifax, thought to be on their way from Manchester to Stockton, and found what was believed to be cocaine.
Along with Greater Manchester Police they then searched addresses in the Failsworth area of Manchester.
Two more people were arrested, and more than 11 kilos of what is suspected to be heroin and cocaine were recovered.
The total value of the haul is estimated at £1.5m.
Those arrested are two men from Thornaby aged 21 and 22, another aged 34 from Middlesbrough, a 23-year-old female from Manchester and a 28-year-old Manchester man.
