Police arrested an Adrian man on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs following a traffic stop Tuesday, Nov. 27, according to a report released Tuesday.
After stopping Wesley Wade Spicer, 23, of Adrian at 12:45 a.m. Tuesday on College Avenue near West Church Street for failing to signal a turn, an officer smelled the odor of marijuana coming from Spicer's car.
Following a series of sobriety tests, Spicer was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence of drugs. Spicer also submitted to a blood draw a ProMedica Bixby Hospital.
At the Lenawee County Jail, Spicer revealed a small baggie in his sock. The substance in the baggie field-tested positive for marijuana. Spicer was lodged in the jail on charges of operating under the influence of drugs and marijuana possession.
