Jail security chief arrested for drug possession - Jakarta Post

The police in Rokan Hulu regency, Riau, arrested the security chief of the Pasir Pangairan Prison for the possession of crystal meth, known locally as sabu-sabu, in his home.

Head of the Rokan Hulu Police Adj. Sr. Comr. Yudi Kurniawan said on Wednesday that the suspect, identified only as HH, was detained in a raid on his house after the police received an official report from the prison's chief warden Maizar on the increasing illegal-drug trade inside the prison.

 "During the raid, we confiscated two packages of sabu-sabu worth Rp 4 million [US$410.68], scales, Rp 6 million cash and plastic bags used to supply illegal drugs," he said, adding that the suspect was detained for questioning on the possible involvement of guards and outsiders in supplying drugs in the prison.
