A recent spate of drug arrests are unrelated and just part of numerous investigations by Genesee County Drug Task Force officers during the past year.

Six people, including a man who was selling drugs the night he was stopped for DWI with a 2-year-old in his car, face a variety of drug charges under indictments unsealed during the past week in Genesee County Court.

All were arrested as part of investigations by the task force, which includes officers from Batavia and Le Roy police departments and Genesee County Sheriff's Department.

"They were all separate cases," Chief Deputy Jerome Brewster said. "We wanted to get all our cases caught up and up to speed and get them presented to a grand jury."

Those charged include a city man who in September was sentenced to one-to-four years in state prison for driving while impaired by drugs.

Cody A. Bush, 26, of Bank Street is charged under the indictment with third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance and two counts of fourth-degree sale.

He is accused of selling Oxycontin to undercover officers on April 19, Hydrocodone on May 4 and Suboxone on May 17.

It was on May 4 that Bush was stopped on Veterans Memorial Drive with a 2-year-old child in his car.

He was found with four different controlled substances and faced a number of charges, including aggravated DWI under Leandra's Law.

He pleaded guilty to felony driving while impaired by drugs and was sentenced in Genesee County Court to the prison term.

Also indicted:

— Robert Andreasen, 30, is charged with third-degree criminal sale and possession of a controlled substance for allegedly selling cocaine on Feb. 4 in the Pizza Hut/Dollar General parking lot.
