A 37-year-old man was arrested Friday afternoon for allegedly selling drugs from a home in the 500 block of South Creekside Street in Porterville.
Detectives with the Porterville Police Department searched the home around 4:30 p.m. The man fled on foot as detectives arrived, but police quickly caught him.
During the search, detectives found about 300 grams of heroin, more than 300 grams of methamphetamine, and two ounces of marijuana packaged for sale. Detectives also located paraphernalia associated with narcotic sales and distribution. The narcotics had an estimated street value of more than $40,000.
Police also said they found a 2-year-old child inside the home in an area where drugs were found.
The man was booked into the Tulare County Jail on felony child endangerment, possession of narcotics for sales, possession of a controlled substance for sale and possession of marijuana for sale. The man is being held on $100,000 bail.
