66 arrested in early morning drug raids in Lincoln County - Hickory Daily Record

Lincoln County law enforcement officers conducted a roundup of people suspected of drug-related crimes Wednesday.

"The continuing effort of our drug enforcement investigators shows the seriousness of the drug problem in Lincoln County," said Lincoln County Sheriff David Carpenter in a news release. "Using that knowledge we are continuing to make progress in combating the manufacture and sale of illicit drugs," he said.

Dubbed "Operation Route 66," the roundup aimed to arrest 66 suspects named in indictments issued Oct. 15 by the Lincoln County grand jury. Suspects included street-level drug dealers, high-level traffickers and first-time offenders.

Lincoln county narcotics investigators used tips from the Drug Tip Line and from members of the community to track down the suspects. Anyone with information about drug-related crime is asked to call the tip line at 704-736-8606.

Law enforcement officials continue to make arrests stemming from the indictments. Suspects arrested on Wednesday include:

-Johnny Allen Bivens, 21, of 1846 Beaumont Lane, Lincolnton is charged with felony trafficking heroin by sale, possession and delivery. He is also charged with trafficking heroin and maintaining a dwelling for a controlled substance. Bivens is in jail under a $65,000 secured bond.

-Ashley Lynn Nusberger, 19, of 195 Cedar Ridge Lane, Vale is charged with felony trafficking heroin and misdemeanor possession of marijuana. Nusberger is in jail under a $50,000 secured bond.

-Tavis Sherron Nixon, 34, of 513 South Laurel St., Lincolnton is charged with three felony counts each of selling and delivering cocaine and possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver cocaine. Nixon is under a $10,000 secured bond.

-Bobby Ray Jones, 55, of 838 West N.C. 150, Lincolnton is charged with felony possession with the intent to sell and deliver marijuana. Jones is in jail under a $50,000 secured bond.

-Jonathan Rhyne Carpenter, 25, of 949 Rosebury Lane, Lincolnton is charged with felony manufacturing marijuana and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. Carpenter is under a $12,500 secured bond.

-Mandy Elizabeth Baumgardner, 21, of 949 Rosebury Lane, Lincolnton is charged with felony manufacturing marijuana and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. Baumgardner is in jail under a $10,000 secured bond.

-Michael Anthony Ewing, 59, of 209 Hubbard Street, Lincolnton is charged with felony trafficking and maintaining a vehicle/dwelling for a controlled substance. Ewing is under a $60,000 secured bond.

-Vickie Carpenter Ewing, 57, of 209 Hubbard Street, Lincolnton is charged with three felony counts of trafficking opiates. Ewing is in jail under a $50,000 secured bond.

-Donald Lee Davis, Jr., 43, of 1834 Hines Circle Drive, Stanley is charged with three felony counts of trafficking opiates. Davis is in jail under a $50,000 secured bond.

-Steffan Alexander Robinson, 18, of 226 West Pine St., Lincolnton, is charged with two felony counts of possession with the intent to manufacture, sell and deliver heroin and one felony count each of selling heroin and selling and delivering heroin.

-Steven James Nicholson, 45, 2619 Southmont Road, Iron Station is charged with felony possession with the intent to sell and deliver cocaine and selling and delivering cocaine.

-Donald Lee Richard, 39, of 184 A St., Lincolnton is charged with one felony count each of trafficking opiates by possession, trafficking by sale, trafficking by delivery and obtaining property by false pretenses. Richard is under a $50,000 secured bond.

-Shasta Nicole Black, 34, of 1875 Arrowood Lane, Lincolnton is charged with two felony counts each of selling and delivering marijuana and possession with the intent to manufacture, sell and deliver marijuana.

-Tait Richard Rogers, 20, of 3211 June Bug Road, Vale is charged with felony trafficking opiates by selling, delivering and possession, one felony count each of selling and delivering a schedule II controlled substance and schedule III controlled substance and possession with the intent to manufacture, sell and deliver a schedule II and schedule III controlled substance.

-Marcus Ryan Henley, 18, of 450 North Pilot Knob Road, Denver is charged with two felony counts each of selling and delivering marijuana and possession with the intent to manufacture, sell and deliver marijuana.

-Nathaniel Woodrow Scronce, 22, of 5181 Hoyle Farm Road, Vale is charged with two felony counts each of trafficking opiates by possession, trafficking opiates by sale and trafficking opiates by delivery. Scronce is in jail under a $50,000 secured bond.

-David Lee Guffie, 45, of 1968 Scenic Drive, Iron Station is charged with three felony counts each of selling and delivering a schedule II controlled substance and possession with the intent to manufacture, sell and deliver a schedule II controlled substance. He is also charged with one count each of trafficking opiates by possession and trafficking opiates by delivery.

-Sabrina Darlene Whitworth, 30, of 2549 Woodland Hill Trail, Lincolnton is charged with one felony count each of selling and delivering a schedule IV controlled substance, possession with the intent to manufacture, sell and deliver a schedule IV controlled substance and trafficking opiates by sale, delivery and possession. Whitworth is in jail under a $50,000 secured bond.

-Matthew Lane Bailey, 42, of 2549 Woodland Hill Trail, Lincolnton is charged with two felony counts each of trafficking in opiates by sale, trafficking in opiates by delivery and trafficking in opiates by Possession. Bailey is under a $50,000 secured bond.

-Jennifer Louise Hinson, 41, of 850 Mace Lane, Lincolnton is charged with one felony count each of selling and delivering a schedule II controlled substance, schedule III controlled substance and schedule IV controlled substance. She is also charged with possession with the intent to manufacture, sell and deliver a schedule II controlled substance and schedule IV controlled substance, along with felony possession of a schedule III controlled substance. Hinson is under a $10,000 secured bond.

-Eddie Lee Hinson, 46, of 850 Mace Lane, Lincolnton is charged with one felony count each of selling and delivering a schedule II controlled substance, schedule III controlled substance and schedule IV controlled substance. He is also charged with possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver a schedule II, schedule III and schedule IV controlled substance. Hinson is under a $10,000 secured bond.

-Joshua Lee Nolen, 28, of 2046 Nolen Acres Lane, Iron Station is charged with two felony counts each of selling and delivering heroin and possession with the intent to manufacture, sell and deliver heroin.

-Keymandy Dashawn Williamson, 30, of 733 Rufus Road, Denver, is charged with felony possession with the intent to sell and deliver marijuana and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. Williamson is under a $5,000 secured bond.

-Jaime Carolyn Reynolds, 33, of 1886 West N.C. 150, Lincolnton, is charged with three felony counts each of selling and delivering a schedule IV controlled substance and possession with the intent to manufacture, sell and deliver a schedule IV controlled substance. Reynolds is under a $5,000 secured bond.

-Linda Lou Pentolino, 61, of 7141 Lingerfelt Road, Vale, is charged with one felony count each of possession of a controlled substance with the intent to manufacture schedule VI and maintaining a dwelling/vehicle for a controlled substance. She is also charged with misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. Pentolina's is under a $5,000 secured bond.

-Gaetano Antonio Pentolino, 61, of 7141 Lingerfelt Road, Vale, is charged with one felony count each of possession of a controlled substance with the intent to manufacture schedule VI and maintaining a dwelling/vehicle for a controlled substance. She is also charged with misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. Pentolino is under a $5,000 secured bond.

-Katie Anne Caudle, 20, of 1968 Scenic Drive, Lincolnton is charged with three felony counts each of selling and delivering a schedule II controlled substance and possession with the intent to manufacture, sell and deliver a schedule II controlled substance. She is also charged with one felony count each of trafficking in opiates by sale, trafficking in opiates by possession and trafficking in opiates by delivery. Caudle is in jail under a $50,000 secured bond.

-Tara Alaine Hoffman, 29, of 302 East Hoke St., Lincolnton is charged with one felony count each of trafficking opiates by possession, trafficking opiates by sale, and trafficking opiates by delivery. Hoffman is under a $50,000 secured bond.

-Daniel Allen Mosteller, 25, of 1837 Bill Lynch Road, Lincolnton, is charged with one felony count each of selling and delivering a schedule III controlled substance and possession with the intent to manufacture, sell and deliver a schedule III controlled substance. Mosteller is under a $5,000 secured bond.

-Wesley Michael McMahan, 24, of 1450 Poston Drive, Lincolnton is charged with three felony counts each of selling and delivering marijuana and possession with the intent to manufacture, sell and deliver marijuana. McMahan is under a $5,500 secured bond.

-Mary Trammell Werth, 60, of 410 Lantern Ridge, Lincolnton is charged with one felony count each of possession of a controlled substance with the intent to manufacture a schedule VI substance and maintaining a dwelling/vehicle for a controlled substance. Werth is under a $5,000 secured bond.

-Jonathan Guillermo R. Calvo, 32, of 105 Huss Street, Lincolnton is charged with three felony counts each of selling and delivering cocaine and possession with the intent to manufacture, sell and deliver cocaine. He is charged with one felony count each of selling and delivering a schedule II controlled substance, possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver a schedule II controlled substance, possession of cocaine, trafficking in opiates by sale, trafficking in opiates by possession and trafficking in opiates by transportation. He is also charged with misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. Calvo is under a $50,000 secured bond.

-Jim Dale Rathbun, 25, of 3863 Estelle Lane, Iron Station is charged with one felony count each of selling and delivering a schedule II controlled substance and possession with the intent to manufacture, sell and deliver a schedule II controlled substance. Rathbun is under a $10,000 secured bond.

-Robert Marshall Beal, Jr., 18, of 3997 Koliha Lane, Maiden is charged with one felony count each of possession with the intent to sell and deliver marijuana and selling and delivering marijuana. Beal is under a $7,000 secured bond.

-Janoia Trammell Smarr, 50, of 410 Lantern Ridge Drive, Lincolnton, is charged with two felony counts each of selling and delivering a schedule IV controlled substance and possession with the intent to manufacture, sell and deliver a schedule IV controlled substance. She is charged with one count each of conspiring to sell and deliver a schedule VI controlled substance and maintaining a vehicle/dwelling for a controlled substance. Smarr is under a $5,000 secured bond.

-Thomas Harrison Ford, 32, of 4385 East Maiden Road, Lincolnton, is charged with one felony count of possession of a controlled substance with the intent to manufacture schedule VI. Ford is under a $2,000 secured bond.
