RCPD Drug Investigation Expands, Four More Arrested - WIBW

MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) -- Riley County police say drug busts at two Manhattan apartments on Sunday later led officers to search several other apartments in the days that followed, resulting in several arrests and illegal drugs and cash being seized.

On October 14, 2012 the Riley County Police Department executed search warrants at two apartments in Manhattan located at 1116 Gardenway and 150 East Poyntz Avenue. The warrants were in reference to the distribution of marijuana.

Approximately 1 ¾ pounds of marijuana with a street value of $7,000 was seized along with drug paraphernalia and $4,605 in U.S. Currency.

As a result, the following individuals were arrested:

Charmaine Cardwell (23 y/o) of Denver, Colorado was arrested for possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, conspiracy to distribute marijuana, unlawful use of a telecommunication device, unlawful acquisition of drug proceeds, and no Kansas Drug Tax Stamp. She was held at the Riley County Jail in lieu of a $12,000.00 bond.

Melton Diggs (23 y/o) of 1116 Gardenway in Manhattan, Kansas was arrested for conspiracy to distribute marijuana, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was held at the Riley County Jail in lieu of a $3,000 bond.

Amanda George (22 y/o) of 1116 Gardenway in Manhattan, Kansas was arrested for conspiracy to distribute marijuana. She was held at the Riley County Jail in lieu of a $2,000 bond.

According to Sergeant Brad Jager with the RCPD"s Special Investigative Unit, a follow-up investigation on the drug bust led to three additional search warrants and four more arrests this week. .

On October 15, 2012 the Riley County Police Department executed a search warrant at 1725 Anderson in Manhattan in reference to the distribution of marijuana.

Over five ounces of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and $1,343 were seized.

As a result, the following individual was arrested:

Adam Wade Teske (27 y/o) of Manhattan was arrested for possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia (misdemeanor and felony), no Kansas Drug Tax Stamp, and unlawful use of a telecommunication device. He was held at the Riley County Jail on a $6,500 bond.

On October 18, 2012 search warrants were executed at 519 N. Manhattan Apartment #5 and 1117 Vattier Apartment D in Manhattan.

Over 3 ounces of marijuana, 9.8 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, drug paraphernalia, and $602 was seized from 519 N. Manhattan Apartment #5. $500 was seized from 1117 Vattier Apartment D.

As a result, the following individuals were arrested:

Tristan Derek Michael (23 y/o) of Manhattan was arrested for possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, possession of psilocybin mushrooms, possession of drug paraphernalia (misdemeanor and felony), no Kansas Drug Tax Stamp, and unlawful acquisition of drug proceeds. He was held at the Riley County Jail on a $9,000 bond.

Joshua Michael Carroll (23 y/) of Manhattan was arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. He was held at the Riley County Jail on a $1,000 bond.

Brock Tanner Pierce (21 y/o) of Manhattan was arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. He was held at the Riley County Jail on a $1,000 bond.
