Alexis Wright Zumba Sex Scandal Spurs Rap Song; Watch Rapper Cam Groves ... - iDigitalTimes.com

UPDATE: Here's an exclusive interview with the rapper behind the viral video, Cam Groves.

Cam Groves, a rapper from Maine, has made a rap video about Alexis Wright, the Zumba instructor who ran an underground sex ring from her Zumba studio.

If you haven't heard, there's a huge sex scandal going on in Maine. Alexis Wright has been accused of running an underground sex ring from her studio and filming her clients and her engaging in "relations" without their knowledge or consent. She pleaded not guilty to 109 counts of prostitution and invasion of privacy. But, considering the amount of evidence the courts have, it seems like she's almost certainly guilty.

It seems like the general public from Maine seems to agree.

Cam Groves, a rapper from Maine, recently posted a video about the Zumba sex scandal and Alexis Wright, called "I Wish I Knew." The video was originally for his friends, but they found it so funny that they convinced him to make the video public.

Since Groves has posted the video on Youtube, the music video has amassed over 35,000 hits. Groves' previous personal best on the video sharing website was only 10,000 hits.

The video was filmed in Kennebunkport, Maine, where Alexis Wright worked and where the Zumba sex scandal allegedly takes place. Wright is originally from Wells, Maine, which is only 40 minutes away and the same town that Groves hails from as well.

The song talks about Groves wishing he knew about the underground prostitution ring, because if he did he'd be a client. Of course, I'm sure he doesn't mean that, considering the client list has been made public by the courts and many of them are facing criminal charges. Here are some the song:

"Should I write, this song/I might as well./If I had known, I would have been your biggest clientele."

"I don't care about that john list, I just wanted to be on it."

"I might have even signed up for that Zumba class."

The music video also features some clips from the alleged videos of Alexis Wright that surfaced online (to read about them, click here), and even though the videos themselves are very NSFW, the clips used weren't that revealing, just little clips of Alexis Wright.

Groves has become a local celebrity for the video, and the song is getting air time on local radio stations. It's not surprising considering the small town has been rocked since the scandal broke, with various news outlets invading the quiet town to get the latest scoop on the case. Groves even came to the Kennebuckport High School Homecoming dance, along with friend and fellow rapper, Spose. According to the Kennebuckport Journal:

"When Groves turned up with Spose at the Kennebunk High School Homecoming on Friday night, Principal Susan Cressey told them she knew all about "I Wish I Knew" and gave them strict instructions not to play the song or mention the client list. They left Groves' song out of their performance, but mentioned the scandal, Spose said, by referring to the list as "the L word." 'The kids would have enjoyed it because the song is pretty funny and timely, but some of their dads, probably not,' Spose said."
