Auxiliary police officer arrested for selling drugs - WHDH-TV

WINTHROP, Mass. (WHDH) -- A Winthrop auxiliary police officer was arrested Thursday, accused of dealing drugs while on the job.

Police say Bledar Naco was selling cocaine not only from a marked police cruiser, but while parked in a school zone and at other locations.

The FBI followed Naco for 6 months after a tip from the Lynn Police Department suggested his on-the-job activities.

"The greatest concern is reputation of the police department whether you're a regular police officer or auxiliary officer. People associate negative conduct with the uniform and badge," Winthrop Police Chief Terence M. Delehanty said.

Naco was an unpaid volunteer auxiliary officer in Winthrop for a year and a half before his arrest.
