Four people face drug and alcohol charges following a series of arrests in Iqaluit.

RCMP said they arrested three men a little more than a week ago. The men are believed to be involved in transporting marijuana into Nunavut, through Iqaluit.

Police seized seven pounds of pot, along with eight bottles of liquor.

Two of the men have been charged with trafficking. The third was charged with unlawful possession of alcohol.

Last Thursday, police made another arrest after a search in the 2500 block of Iqaluit. There, the RCMP said they seized marijuana which they believe was being prepared for sale.

Police said the total street value of the drugs seized in the arrests is about $100,000.
