Drug task force arrests suspected dealer in Vancouver - KATU

VANCOUVER, Wash. – Clark County Regional Drug Task Force members arrested a Vancouver man who they said had large amounts of methamphetamine and cocaine in his car.

Damian Tapia-Arellano, 49, of Vancouver had more than eight pounds of methamphetamine in his car and a half pound of cocaine, according to task force spokesman Mike Cooke.

Detectives arrested Arellano during a traffic stop Monday morning. They had been investigating him as a possible drug dealer for months, according to Cooke.

Detectives believed Arellano was importing large amounts of meth and cocaine from California.

Task force members searched his home, where they found small amounts of drugs and other evidence of drug trafficking, Cooke said.

Arellano was taken to the Clark County Jail on drug charges.
