Ex-King County deputy arrested on suspicion of theft, drugs - The Seattle Times (blog)

King County sheriff's deputies arrested a 33-year-old former deputy Monday for investigation of theft, possession of stolen property, tampering and drug possession, according to a news release from the King County Sheriff's Office.

The release said the deputy, a Bothell resident, was a 10-year veteran of the force and that he  resigned last month when threatened with termination.

The arrest "came out of an unrelated internal investigation," regarding an allegation the former deputy had been using a government computer "to access information contrary to policy," the release said.

Sheriff's spokeswoman Cindi West said the man will not be identified until the prosecutor's office files charges.
