Karachi violence continues, 13 people killed - News Tribe


 

Karachi: At-least 13 people shot dead on Saturday in different areas of Karachi, the metropolitan of Pakistan.

The affected areas were Abul Hasan Isphani, Orangi town, New Golimar, Mauripur, Jehangir road, Haidery, Gulbahar colony.

According to sources, Qari Ashfaq, a prayer leader of local mosque was killed by unidentified miscreants on Abul Hasan Isphani road.

Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamat spokesman claimed that the deceased was a member and prayer leader in a mosque.

However, the incident raised tension in the area when enraged protestors blocked the road and burnt tyres.

At-least two people killed in Faqeer colony of Orangi town, both persons were activists of Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamat.

Moreover, four people were also killed in sector 11 and number 12 areas of Orangi town including Molana Saleem Ullah and his close friend.

Another incident took place in New Golimar and Maripur areas, where at-least three people lost their lives including a woman.

Two brothers were shot dead at Jahangir road within the remits of Jamshed quarter police station, identified as Sharafat 25 and elder one Mubarak were shot dead.

According to police, the deceased were employees of Karachi Municipal Corporation (KMC) and linked with a political party.

On the other side, at-least two people were killed in Haidery and Gulbahar areas of Karachi.
