(PIX11) Four people are dead after their car crashed into an overpass and caught on fire in Greenburgh Sunday morning.
Authorities say the car driven by 19-year-old Bruno Vaccarezza of Connecticut was headed north on the Sprain Brook Parkway at about 6 a.m. when he lost control near Jackson Avenue and crashed into the overpass. The car then burst into flames. According to police sources, the bodies of the four people inside were so badly burned, they could not initially be identified as male or female.
Police have identified the passengers as Fernanda Gomez, 19, and Juliana Restrepo, 18, who are both from Port Chester. The fourth passenger's identity has not yet been released.
Police believe the car was speeding before the crash. The investigation is ongoing.
