A man who Clovis police consider a "mid-level" drug dealer in the area was arrested late Thursday night during an alleged drug deal.
Police seized 3 pounds of packaged marijuana, more than 800 ecstasy pills, about $4,0000 worth of crystal methamphetamine, approximately 800 Alprazolam and Lorazepam pills, and more than $2,400 in cash from the alleged drug dealer's residence on the 3000 block of Villa Avenue in Clovis after a search warrant was served.
Rafael Guzman, 39, was arrested shortly after 11 p.m. for dealing the drugs in front of his house. Officers also arrested Jeremy Mitchell, 32, for possession of a controlled substance.
The investigation into Guzman's drug sales has been underway for about a month, detectives said. He was booked into Fresno County Jail on Friday morning on five counts of possessing drugs for sale, police said.
