SIBU: A 21-year-old woman was fined RM3,000 by the Mukah Magistrates' Court on Thursday after she pleaded guilty to recording an obscene video of a 15-year-old girl.
Fila Syahida Zulkipli was charged under Section 292 of the Penal Code, which provides for jail not more than five years or a fine or both upon conviction.
She committed the offence about midnight on Sept 21 at Pehin Stage in Mukah.
She used a handphone to record an obscene video of the 15-year-old.
She told the court she regretted her action, and asked for leniency citing first offence.
She also said that her father was not in good health.
