The Allahabad High Court today asked the Censor Board to examine and decide within three weeks a plea, seeking deletion of some "obscene" words from a song of Salman Khan-starer "Dabangg 2", scheduled for release today.
Division Bench comprising acting Chief Justice Shiva Kirti Singh and Justice Dilip Gupta passed the order on a petition filed by Shyam Bihari Verma.
The petitioner claimed that he was a social activist and was concerned over the lyrics of the song, alleging that some words were "obscene and could not be used freely in a civilised society".
Refusing to entertain the petitioner, the court disposed of the PIL, while making it clear if he moves an application before the Censor Board, a decision on the same should taken within three weeks.
