Varysburg drug suspect arrested - Buffalo News

WARSAW – A 23-year-old Varysburg man remained in custody at the Wyoming County Jail on drug and larceny charges linked to his alleged sale of imitation drugs to a police informant who claimed he was actually seeking real heroin and cocaine, the Wyoming County Sheriff's office reported Monday.

Charles Muniak of Route 20A, Varysburg, was arrested by sheriff's deputies Saturday and charged with three counts of selling an imitation drug, three counts of petit larceny and one count of criminal diversion of a prescription drug. The Sheriff's office said his arrest came after a six-month investigation of drug sales in the Village of Warsaw by the Wyoming County Drug Task Force.

Muniak is accused of selling a police informant in March and April in the village imitation heroin and cocaine when the informant was provided with funds to pay for real heroin and cocaine. Muniak is being held in lieu of $10,000 cash bail.
