January 7, 2013 (ROCKFORD, Ill.) -- Authorities say a 10-month-old girl and 13-year-old boy were among four victims of a Rockford house fire.
Officials released the identities of the early Monday blaze. They include 61-year-old Sharon Cashatt, her 21-year-old adopted son Douglas Cashatt and her grandchildren, 10-month-old Isabella Gonzalez and 13-year-old Dominick Cashatt.
The fire broke out after midnight Monday in a two-story, single-family home.
Family members said they saw a live Christmas tree on fire. Rockford Fire Department Division Chief Matthew Knott says officials are investigating the fire and believe it was accidental but haven't determined a cause. The home was destroyed in the fire. It already has been demolished because it was a public safety hazard.
Knott says two adults in their 20s were able to escape the fire.
