Coroner identifies 3 people killed Monday on Las Vegas roads

Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) -- The Clark County coroner has identified all three people that were killed yesterday in three separate accidents on roadways around the Las Vegas Valley.

The first fatal accident happened at about 6:20 a.m. Monday on Interstate 15 near Lamb Boulevard. Farrilyn Gaston Diaz, age 54, of Las Vegas died after her car ran into a semi-tractor trailer.

According to the Nevada Highway Patrol, Diaz was traveling northbound on the I-15 when her car drifted across the media and struck the southbound truck.

86-year-old Ann Elizabeth Bursik of Las Vegas was killed just a few hours later at about 10:50 a.m. as she was crossing Lake Mead Boulevard near Rampart Boulevard.

According to witnesses, she was not in a marked crosswalk and she was hit by a car that was exiting a private drive.

The third person to die on Monday was three-year-old Emily Kay from Henderson.

Emily Kay was a passenger in a car that was involved in a head-on collision shortly after noon at the intersection of Eastern Avenue and Pebble Road.

All occupants in both vehicles were transported to University Medical Center's Trauma Unit.
