The "Twilight Saga" lovebirds have been named the highest grossing romantic couple as reported by the Huffington Post on Jan. 18, 2013. They also generated the highest number of news searches in 2012 because of the infidelity scandal that was blown out of proportion. In terms of scandal, a tabloid comes up with a new twist daily that the two are splitting, which oftentimes originates with Hollywood Life. Then soon after the claims are refuted. If money is any consolation for the gossip they have endured, the young couple is sitting pretty according to Forbes which said:

We looked at the top-grossing romantic movies of the last three years. Twilight was by far the biggest box office winner over that period, earning $1.17 billion.
