MORGAN COUNTY, Ala. (WAAYTV) - Morgan County Sheriff's office says that they arrested Michelle Lynn Cherry, 28, after a traffic stop Sunday night.

Deputies say that Cherry was driving the car with an 11 year old child as a passenger and was stopped at the intersection of Hwy 36 and Double Creek Road in Lacey's Spring.  During a search of the car, Morgan County deputies found a plastic baggy containing ICE, a form of methamphetamine.

Cherry was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. The child in the car was released to his father. Cherry has bonded out of jail.
