Campus Apartment Search Leads To Drug Arrest - KWTX

WACO (October 22, 2013)—A Texas State Technical College student was held Tuesday in the McLennan County Jail charged with drug possession after his arrest on campus.

Nicholas Wayne Holt, 18, was ordered held in lieu of bonds totaling $5,000, charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, the McLennan County online jail log showed.

Jan Osborne, TSTC media spokeswoman, said TSTC police arrested Holt Monday morning after he gave consent for them to search his on-campus apartment.

Osborne confirmed Holt was a registered student at the college.

Police found a small amount of marijuana and other drugs and what they called paraphernalia used in the consumption of drugs.
