SANTA CRUZ - A 33-year-old man was arrested at a home in the 1200 block of North Branciforte Drive on Friday, when officers conducted a probation search after getting complaints of suspected drug activity there, Santa Cruz police said Monday.

Officers with the department's Street Crimes Unit searched the home about 2:30 p.m. and found that the resident, Julian White, had about 10 grams of methamphetamine, a scale, packaging materials and a pipe, spokesman Zach Friend said.

White was arrested on suspicion of possessing drugs for sales, possession of drug paraphernalia and violating probation, Friend said.

A guest, 35-year-old Irene Acosta of San Francisco, was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence, he said.
