Monticello arrested for drugs, trespass - The River Reporter

Monticello Police arrested Maceo Jones (43) of Monticello on Thursday 8/29/13. Jones was charged with felony criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 5th degree, misdemeanor criminal possession of controlled substance in the 7th degree and violation trespass.

At 10:00 PM Thursday Monticello Police responded to a reported dispute at the Evergreen Drive-Housing Complex in the village of Monticello. Responding officers observed Jones walking away from the scene of the dispute.

Officers then arrested Jones for trespass, as they were aware that Jones had been previously served a trespass affidavit by the Monticello housing authority prohibiting him from being at the Evergreen Drive Housing Complex property.

After being arrested Jones was found to be in possession of .8 grams of crack cocaine and 7 decks of heroin. Jones was arrested before village of Monticello justice Josephine Finn and remanded to the Sullivan county jail without bail pending further court action.
