Police arrested 11 people in a series of drug-related raids yesterday evening after suspects faced off with officers in a mall parking lot.

Officers fired shots at a vehicle after the driver refused to stop and drove toward the police in the Place Versailles parking lot, Montreal police Const. Danny Richer said.

"No one was injured and all three occupants of the vehicle were arrested," he said.

Police then turned their attention to four locations in Napierville, Saint-Denis-sur Richelieu, McMasterville and Saint Basile.

"We received some information concerning a clandestine laboratory [producing] narcotics or synthetic drugs," said Richer.

"Those pills were sold on the island of Montreal."

In total, police seized one firearm, one stun gun as well as undisclosed quantities of cocaine, ketamine and marijuana.

Nine men and two women, all between the ages of 20 and 45-years-old, were arrested and are being questioned by police.

The Montreal police organized crime squad and the RCMP are involved in the investigation.
