Easley Police and Pickens County deputies have arrested a man, accused of making hundreds of obscene phone calls to people in the Easley area.
Robert Baldwin, 32, of Greenville, was arrested Tuesday night, charged with 10 counts of communicating obscene messages without consent, and one count of communicating obscene messages to another person.
According to the reports FOX Carolina received from both Easley Police and the Pickens County Sheriff's Office, Baldwin is accused of calling at least dozen numbers multiple times. Easley Police said that in total, over 400 calls were made to victims.
Police and deputies said that the calls were sexual in nature, and that Baldwin didn't know the victims.
Baldwin is a registered sex offender, having been convicted of peeping in voyeurism in 2001, according to the South Carolina Sex Offender Registry. A SLED background check revealed he was also on probation at the time of his arrest.
Baldwin was being held Wednesday night at the Pickens County Detention Center on a $52,000 bond.
