A 33-year-old fugitive from Utah was arrested in Fairfield with drugs and a firearm on Friday, police said.
At about 4:30 p.m., the Fairfield Police Department's Special Operations Team and the U.S. Marshals Service apprehended Jack Ewing, a fugitive from Utah, police said.
A search warrant was executed at a motel room associated with Ewing in the 4300 block of Central Place, police said.
An associated vehicle in the motel parking lot was also searched, according to police.
While at the motel, officers detained two additional suspects during the investigation.
During the search, authorities found and seized an AK47-style assault rifle, suspected methamphetamine, heroin and currency, according to police.
William Simpson, a 38-year-old man from Las Vegas and Kristine Sana, a 33-year-old woman from Rodeo, were also arrested.
All three were booked on weapons and drug sales offenses, according to police.
