PORTSMOUTH — Police on Monday announced the arrests of two men on charges alleging they were selling illegal drugs in the city.

Charged with three felonies alleging he sold cocaine is Jose Torres, 33, of 264 Waverly Ave. #1, Andover, Mass., said Lt. Mike Maloney. Police say Torres was arrested last week by Epping police and has not yet been arraigned.

Also arrested last week on drug charges was Ryan Costantino, 29, of 114 Maple St., Rochester, Maloney said. According to the police lieutenant, Costantino is charged with two felonies alleging the sale of marijuana.

Costantino was arraigned Friday, when his bail was set at $5,000 cash, police said. He's also being held on a detainer from the state probation and parole department, Maloney said.

Police were assisted during the drug investigations by officers from the state probation department, U.S. Marshals, the Strafford County Sheriffs Department, the Rockingham County Sheriffs Department, the federal Drug Enforcement Agency and Epping police, Maloney said.
