List of those arrested in Ware following 18-month drug investigation climbs to 36 - MassLive.com

WARE – The number of suspects charge in an 18-month investigation by police into drug dealing in town has now risen to 36 names, according to police

The arrests, most of which were for dealing drugs including heroin, started last week but many occurred on Saturday as part of a coordinated action by area law enforcement.

Ware Police along with state police, the Northwestern District Attorney's office and the Hampshire County Sheriff's office executed search warrants that targeted 40 individuals; some remain at large.

The arrests followed an 18-month investigation, called Operation Crack Down, initiated by the Ware Police Department.

Arraigned Monday, Dec. 17, at Eastern Hampshire District Court are two Hardwick residents. Cristal Fuller, 26, of 133 Mechanic St. and Roland N. Gaumond Jr., 38, also of 133 Mechanic St. were arrested on Saturday; they are charged with four counts each of drug distribution with intent to distribute.

The following Ware residents were arrested Saturday, and arraigned Dec. 17:

  • Stephen Britch, 52, and Laurel Pinard, 52 of 51 North St., charged with 4 counts each of intent to distribute drugs;
  • Jonathan P. Wallace, 31, of 58 Pulaski St., charged with 2 counts of intent to distribute drugs; Mark Austin, 53, and Frances I. Laroche, 57, of 53 Pleasant St., each charged with 1 count of drug distribution;
  • Jason H. Brace, 29, charged with 7 counts of intent to distribute drugs, and Ashleigh R. Wallace, 29, charged with 6 counts of intent to distribute, both of 70-1/2 North St.;
  • John L. Romanovicz, 29, of 29 Aspen St., 2 counts of drug possession and resisting arrest;
  • Richard C. Loso, 50, and Amy J. Loso, 57, of 12 Otis Avenue, charged with 2 counts each of drug distribution;
  • Kristen M. Dubuque, 25, of 61 Glendale Circle, 4 counts intent to distribute;
  • Erik D. Nubile, 36, of 16 Otis Avenue, 4 counts intent to distribute;
  • Linda M. Cooper, 61 and Bryan J. Horner, 52, of 168 Osborne Road; Joseph Delabruere, 28, of 58 West St. each charged with 10 counts of intent to distribute;
  • John Delabruere, 52, of 54 West St., 4 counts intent to distibute;
  • Harry J. Dineen, 52, of 194 Osborne Road, 10 counts intent to distibute;
  • Hector L. Peterson III, 23, of 4 Cummings Road, 5 counts intent to distribute;
  • Michael Estridge, 23, of 22 Mechanic St., 6 counts intent to distribute;
  • Cheryl A. McCollaum, 27, homeless of Ware, drug possession;
  • Pamela J. Washburn, 48, of 60 Hillside Village, 5 counts intent to distribute;
  • Ann T. Cutler, 32, of 58 West St., 6 counts intent to distribute;
  • Rodney Egerton, 50, of 61 Pulaski St., 2 counts intent to distribute; and Patrick J. Krol, 44, of 278 Osborne Road, 2 counts intent to distribute.
  • Nicholas C. Downey, 35, of 390 Monson Turnpike Road, outstanding warrant;
  • Mark A. Wilson, 36, of 97 Pleasant St., two counts of distribution of a class B substance;
  • Michael A. Luszcz, 51, of 41 Pine St., was charged with four counts of distribution of heroin, and four counts of conspiracy to violate drug laws.
  • Arrested Friday were Gary W. Aiken, 56, of 18 Parker St. on warrant charges, and Kimberly A. Sokolowski, 53, of 18 Parker St., on single counts of distribution of heroin and conspiracy to violate drug laws.
  • Also, Chicopee residents Michelle M. Sherman, 35, of 4 Laurel St.; and Khara Wozniak, 33, also of 4 Laurel St. were each charged with two counts of intent to distribute drugs; they were arraigned Dec. 5 at Eastern Hampshire District Court.
  • Ware residents charged with drug law violations arraigned Dec. 13 were David M. Bryant, 23, Corky O. Schipper, 22, and Alisha M. Goulet, all of 403 Palmer Road.

"The Ware Police Department did an outstanding job investigating heroin, oxycodone, and cocaine drug dealing that was destroying lives and impacting the quality of life in Ware and surrounding communities," District Attorney David E. Sullivan said in a prepared statement. "The Massachusetts State Police and our office were pleased to assist in this drug sweep.

"As we prosecute these cases we will be asking the court to hold these defendants accountable and urging their addicted customers to seek treatment and rehabilitation," he said.
